Yesterday I played a pickup game of soccer for the first time in at least a year. Before that I hadn’t played for probably two to three years. I am incredibly sore today. I figured I would be a little tired and sore but nowhere near this. I should play more often.

I have been sporadically keeping bottle caps from all of the beers I’ve had over the last year or so. Here is 100 of them. I don’t keep doubles, so any of the same caps are of different beers from the same brewer. I should have kept better track of this stuff previously.

Even my arms are sore. How does that happen?

Beer tasting, Fort Collins, Laramie

For the Christmas holiday, I flew out to Denver to be with my family in Laramie. Evan picked me up at the airport on Thursday after a packed flight. We headed straight to Fort Collins to visit a few breweries before we drove up to Laramie.

Since I’m already so busy, I figured I’d start a blog about beer. So far all I have are reviews up at the moment, but I’ll start writing some articles about various other topics having to do with beer. Go check it out.

Those are Chimney Swifts. They’re hard to take a good photo of.

Today was great. I ran 4.25 miles and I loved it. This was my first real run since the Asheville half marathon last month. It felt great, too.

In other news, I’ve apparently decided that I needed to start a blog about beer, and that I needed yet another thing to spend my time on. So I guess once I get everything looking ok, I’ll link to that on here. I’ve written all of two entries so far, but I can see it being worth doing (if for no other reason than to buy new, different beers [heck yes]).

I also bought a new little plant for my desk in my man cave. Yes.

America = Beer > Vegetables

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Americans spend more money on beer for the home than fresh vegetables. Graph here

Smart Move

Healthy living probably doesn’t include taking your daily vitamins with beer.

When you read this, I’ll be driving to Miami.  Unless something happens that prevents me from doing so.  Don’t worry, it’s a short, pointless post.  And there will be more on the way.
