Documenting

I’ve been looking around for the best system/notebook/whatever to document data from my life. I have a terrible memory, and I really would like to have a system, preferably physical and not on the internet, of documenting what I do, how I feel, and what happens each day. That way I could track patterns in my life or possibly end up adding it all together, like in this video:

The Demon Haunted World

CT scan

One Sunday last year, I started having pains in my lower abdomen. They were sharp, and hurt badly. After calling the nurse phone line for my insurance company, I ended up going to the hospital. They checked on my white blood cell count, and then decided it would be a good idea to send me in for a CT scan to check for appendicitis.

Oh No, Not Again

I’m struggling to keep updating this website, which is sad. Not because I think it’s all that great, but because I don’t really spend a whole lot of time on it in the first place. I’ve been splitting my time between a few things lately.

I just went live with a website I was creating for Total Soccer Academy. You can see it here (though it’s live, there are still changes to make).

I’m also working on recreating the blog I had while I was on my 2005 bike tour from Kentucky to Wyoming. I have all of the old blog entries posted, about half of my nightly journal entries posted, about 1/3 of the photos posted, and a pretty shoddy design. I hope to finish everything in the next two weeks, and at that point I’ll post about it on here.

The weather lately has been rough. Yes, I’m talking about the weather. I’m ready for spring.

New Job, New Computer, Old Computer

I moved jobs within my company, and had to give up the nice laptop that I had been using. My new computer is ancient, and when I fired it up and tried to open a PowerPoint file, I was reminded of something I hadn’t seen in a while. Sorry about the over-compressed jpg, I had to edit it on MS Paint. Yes.

Another Weekend, More Bad Weather?

It looks like we might be getting more rain/ice/sleet/snow this weekend. I’m hoping to go back to Georgia to see my family, but might have to postpone the trip.

In other news, I’m working on a little project that I’m not letting anyone know about just yet. It’s nothing big, but I’ve been meaning to do this for a few years now, so I’m glad I’m working on it.

Visits

A couple weekends ago, Scott and Caroline came down to visit. It’s always nice to see friends, and we had a good time.

I’ve got a lot going on lately. These posts aren’t so great.
